The new Microsoft® operating system, Windows Vista, has been released and is available on some new computers. Windows Vista is new to all users, including all of your hardware and software manufacturers. We would caution customers against upgrading to this new operating system without first evaluating its impact on all business critical software and hardware.
Prophesy is currently working on new releases that will take full advantage of the new Windows Vista operating system. Customers on SIPP (Prophesy's annual maintenance plan) will receive these updates when available at no additional cost.
We have created a special page on our website, www.mile.com/vista, which is updated with the latest guidance we can provide for a smooth migration path to the new Vista operating system.

Expert Tips and Tricks for your DispatchSeries Software
1. How to find an existing customer to haul a load for?
From The Dispatch board in the Enroute, Active or Resource Availability Views, right click your mouse and select “Searches>Search for Backhauls. The destination of the load you have selected will automatically fill in as the origin of the load you are looking for. You can add radius information and a specific destination. The search will look not only at historical loads but will also look at your pending loads. For more information on this functionality contact the Prophesy Support Department at 800.776.6707.
2. That you can split your Dispatch Board?
Open the Dispatch Board to the view you would like displayed on the top half of a split screen. Then click on the icon labeled “Split View” Now select the view you would like to display on the bottom of the screen.
3. Why a simple right click can be so helpful?
If you are not sure if you can do something from a particular screen in Prophesy Dispatch if you right click a menu will come up and chances are you will see what you want to do on that menu! For example: If you are in any load view on the dispatch board, and you would like to go to the customer master file… Simply right click on the load and select “Customer Master File”
4. How to set up auto-warnings for Driver/Carrier Expirations?
Go to File>preferences>System defaults. Look for the label Scheduling/Expiration Conflicts and choose from Warn at assignment. On the lower right hand section of the system defaults tab you will need to specify how many days in advance you want to be warned of the expirations.
5. The quickest way to get a BOL or POD to your customers?
With our new document imaging module When your customer calls you and wants a BOL or a POD you can now email the document directly to them and never leave your PC! No more searching through filing cabinets, making a copy and then faxing them the requested paperwork.
