The new release includes the new DOT, FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) HOS (Hours of Service) rules that will go into effect on January 4, 2004. The software will process driver’s logs based on the current rules until the January 4th 2004 "switch-over-date", at which time it will automatically activate the new HOS rule set thereby guaranteeing companies remain in DOT compliance while assuring a seamless transition to the new HOS rules.
