Monday, April 14, 2003 Leading Software Incorporates Customer Feedback to Produce Powerhouse Product
Bloomfield, CT -- April 14, 2003 -- Prophesy is proud to announce the launch of Prophesy Dispatch & Accounting Version 4.2. The software that revolutionized the trucking industry has undergone it's next metamorphosis and now boasts many noteworthy new features that will further streamline the way trucking companies handle their dispatch & accounting processes.
The redesign revolved around three guiding principles:
-
Full functionality, including the ability to book shipments independent of loads, as well as extensive drop & hook capabilities
-
Increased ease of use, featuring intuitive screen designs and a program flow that is created to follow the way you operate.
-
First level decision support, this management-savvy infrastructure will advise in areas such as driver selection, where to look for new loads/new trucks, etc. This decision support capability will be a real plus in helping users to maximize the effective use of resources to generate more revenue and profit.
"This will be the real revolutionary step for this industry, says Prophesy President, Edward J. Forman. "These tools will allow our customers to deliver greater customer satisfaction and efficiency. And these tools are only the beginning of this trend."
Throughout the development of Version 4.2 Prophesy has diligently collected customer feedback and input and utilized this customer feedback to drive the course of development for this product. "The great new features present in Version 4.2 have gone from the lips of our customers to the ears of our developers" says Forman. "In a product such as Dispatch & Accounting, which so often functions as the 'right hand' of the company…we recognize the importance of producing intuitive functions that operate the way your dispatchers do." The end result is a product that fits and compliments the natural flow of a dispatch operation.
A prime example of this is the new Big Board function present in Version 4.2. This interface, implemented in the familiar Windows® Explorer tree view format, provides key navigation and search capabilities for the rest of the system, and offers a comprehensive method for users to manage their data including shipments and segments of loads. Also new to 4.2 is a truck posting function, which allows information on available owner-operator trucks to become immediately available throughout the system. These comprehensive new features translate to greater ease of use for our customers.
Dispatch & Accounting Version 4.2 also offers a re-designed assignment screen, which displays an always-visible list of available resources that dynamically denotes any conflicts that will occur within the timeframe of the load. This screen also offers intelligence by suggesting the best available driver for the trip. Users will be able to select from the list by double-clicking or dragging the driver name onto the load. Reserved equipment by the driver will automatically be assigned, and additional equipment may be assigned in a similar fashion.
These comprehensive new management tools will enable users to run their operations better with decision support for choosing the right assignment and/or backhaul possibilities, while keeping tabs on the "to do" list.
"Version 4.2 is truly a culmination of the best of both worlds", says Forman. "The best industry technology available meets good, honest feedback from those in the trucking trenches. The result is a product we are proud to offer to this industry."
