1. Why am I getting the message "The PDF file could not be created correctly. You may not have the required drivers installed on your system." when I try to create a PDF from a Prophesy Report?
This message indicates that the required Ghostscript component is missing on this
computer and should be installed by clicking the appropriate link below. (For

Select the appropriate version of Ghostscript based on whether you use a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system:

2. What is Ghostscript and where can I download it?
Most Prophesy customers can download and install Ghostscript directly from SourceForge.net.
GPL Ghostscript is a freely available software package that converts and interprets PostScript™ language files and Portable Document Format (PDF) files. Links to current download mirror sites, documentation and other details can be found at http://www.ghostscript.com.
3. I have installed Ghostscript, but I still am not able to save reports to PDF.
Prophesy should automatically create and configure a printer for you called Sybase DataWindow PS the first time you attempt to save a report as
a PDF. If not, follow these instructions to manually configure this printer:
1. Open your Printers and Faxes Control Panel (Start > Printers and Faxes OR Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes) and click Add a Printer to open the Add Printer Wizard.
Click Next.
2. Choose the option Local printer attached to this computer (leave the "Automatically detect..." box unchecked) and click Next.
3. Under Use the following port, choose "FILE" and click Next.
4. When you are prompted to select a printer, choose Have Disk and browse to the C:\Program Files\gs\gsX.XX\lib folder (where X.XX represents your Ghostscript version number). Select the ghostpdf.inf file and click OK. Choose "Ghostscript
PDF" and click Next.
5. Name the printer Sybase DataWindow PS (do not set it as your default printer) and click Next. Leave the Do not share this printer option selected and click Next. It is not necessary to print a test page, so select "No" and click Next.
6. Review the information and click Finish. If you receive a message that this software does not pass Windows Logo testing, click Continue Anyway.
