Lyons Auto Transport, an established auto hauler based out of Federalsburg, Maryland became one of the first Prophesy customers to implement Prophesy Dispatch V.4. in the spring of 2003.
A Prophesy software user since February of 1994, Lyons has built their Prophesy suite of products as their needs and size increased. “We started out in the beginning with ProDriver, Prophesy’s mileage and routing software and over the years added TaxTally (1995), LogPlus (1998), and ultimately Prophesy Dispatch Version 4 with interface to QuickBooks® Pro (2003)”, said Denise Lyons, Co-Owner. “Prophesy software has always served us well…we are used to the way it works, it’s very user friendly.”
When Lyons Auto Transport implemented Prophesy Dispatch last March, they saw marked changes in the way they could handle their business.
“The Dispatch program in particular has improved our productivity so much, it’s wonderful, and honestly I don’t know what we’d do without it. In our business it is necessary to track each vehicle we transport by VIN number, and Prophesy Dispatch allows us to do that. We can keep tabs on every car we move, and look it up with a click of the mouse,” said Lyons.
Prophesy Dispatch is a completely integrated solution that includes dispatch, freight rating, driver settlements, freight billing, driver check calls, driver advances, asset tracking, commercial mileage & routing, fuel-tax reporting, integrated management reporting, vehicle maintenance & repair. Lyons Auto Transport opted for a version, which would interface with their existing QuickBooks® Pro Accounting Software. An optional interface is also available for Peachtree® Complete, and Prophesy offers a tailored accounting module designed specifically for trucking.
Setup was handled quickly and simply. The Lyons team took advantage of the telephone training program to get them up and running, and relied upon continued support from their Prophesy sales rep. “Kevin Pasternack, our salesperson was just great, and the tech support is top notch, said Lyons. We worked primarily with Brian in the tech department, he was excellent…always great to work with.”
When asked if she had any suggestions for improvement, when it came to Prophesy products and services, Lyons replied, “honestly I can’t think of anything…everything has been great so far”.
