In 1989, AAA Transportation opened its doors in a 2,300 square foot facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Today, the thriving 19-year-old business occupies a 16,000 square foot facility just northwest of Minneapolis in Rogers, Minnesota, and operates 20 flatbed trucks hauling everything from steel beams to construction equipment and machinery across the United States. AAA Transportation has 6 employees and 20 owner-operators.

Ammon Ziebarth, AAA's Operations Manager, has been on board for most of those 19 years and has seen several levels of technology come and go in their central offices. In 1999, after wrestling with several inferior trucking software products, Ziebarth initiated a search for a strong software package that could handle their day-to-day Dispatch & Accounting operations accurately and efficiently.

After reviewing several options he settled upon Prophesy's Dispatch & Accounting, and paired it with Prophesy's LogPlus software solution (for checking and cross-referencing driver logs). "It was time we got something that could handle the details of our business," said Ziebarth. "The bargain software that we had been using just wasn't able to handle the technicalities of our business. You get what you pay for, and our purchase of Prophesy D&A has been more than worthwhile. It is very streamlined and truly keeps us on top of things…and in our business there are a lot of things to stay on top of."

In fact, AAA Transportation thought so much of their Prophesy software that over the following months and years the company would add Prophesy's street-level routing software (Mileage & Routing w/ Street Router), fuel tax software (TaxTally), driver management software (DriverTrax), QuickBooks interface (Dispatch with interface to QuickBooks Pro), document storage & retrieval software (Document Imaging), and the Microsoft SQL database upgrade.

When asked about the technical support service that AAA has received, Ziebarth responded, "The technical support staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful -- but to be honest, we haven't had many problems that required help, and I think that says a lot about the Prophesy software line."
